Drink legendary. This distinct ruby beer’s sweet caramel and fruity aromas tease the taste buds. Brewed with smooth and rich Chocolate and Crystal malts & a blend of Fuggles and Styrian Golding hops. Expect a delicious full-bodied toffee flavour and a fruity finish of figs, raisins and dates.

Creamy cream coloured head stayed on a very dark reddish brown body. Dark chocolate, malt & demerara aroma. Medium to full bodied, creamy over the tongue with a prickle down the back & cloying aft. Malt, brown sugar, spices, chocolate, cloves & a faint hoppy finish. Actually not had for a Marston's!

Can from Sainsburys. This beer is so much better than I found from the can, just found it deeply unpleasant. Confirms my long held suspicion of canned ales. (pre app) ----- Rerated on tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Sweet malty aroma. Mahogany colour. High in chocolate rate and finish. Yet very light and quafable. 1.9 to 3.

Közepes, tartós, bézs hab, sötétbarna szín. Enyhe, karamelles, malátás illat, némi gyümölcsös komponensekkel. Karamelles, enyhe kávés alapíz, fűszeres aromával. Könnyed, enyhén szénsavas és keserű. Iható, de nem jött be.

A very nice ESB/Old Ale. Tasty and accessible, with strong malts and a very nice mouthfeel.

Clear deep ruby brown colour, small frothy tan head, small frothy light tan head, diminishes after a while to a thin layer, light lacing. Aroma sweet malty, roasted, bit smoky, dark fruits, brown sugar, some licorice, some chocolate, hint of laurel. Taste moderate sweetbitter, roasty, spicy notes. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, finish bittersweet, roasted malts, nutty and fruity notes, overall a solid and well-balanced bitter.
