Drink legendary. This distinct ruby beer’s sweet caramel and fruity aromas tease the taste buds. Brewed with smooth and rich Chocolate and Crystal malts & a blend of Fuggles and Styrian Golding hops. Expect a delicious full-bodied toffee flavour and a fruity finish of figs, raisins and dates.

Malty aroma and malty taste. Light mouthfeel and suddenly in all maltiness a strong bitter aftertaste comes forward. Quite a weird one tbh

Pours clear dark ruby body with small sized, slightly off-white head. Smell of malts, caramel, toffee, and licorice. Herbal. Medium body, softly carbonated. Oily texture with somewhat dry mouthfeel. Mostly bitter taste with some caramel sweetness. Aroma of malts, yeast, caramel, licorice, toffee, nuts and herbs. A bit woody. Long, dry finish. Overall, nice brew. Tasty one.

500ml bottle. Pours a gorgeous dark red. Spicy to the nose. Flavour is caramel up front, with lots of malts to follow and a reasonably bitter finish. Light carbonation is a nice treat from a bottled bitter.

Kind of a boring English ale with nut aromas, okay head, watery graham cracker flavour with some caramel hints. A little higher abv than usual for these but otherwise nothing to recommend, discuss, nor remember.

Bottle. Pours clear dark mahogany with medium white head. Aroma of malt, prunes, gravy, malt syrup, sweet red apples, apricot jam and wholemeal biscuits. Taste is medium sweet, light to medium bitter and faint acidic. Body is smooth and light creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long and sweet with notes of malt, syrup, biscuits, fruit, soy sauce and gravy.
