The aroma is an intriguing mix of spice, damp earth, toffee and some floral notes. The pleasant smells of this beer belie the simplistic, somewhat strange combination of sweet malt, yeast and hops. The sudsy palate gives way to a hoppy aftertaste which is bitter and metallic, but not at all fruity.

From a 330ml bottle on 13/12/2011. Pours a cloudy pale golden with a minimal head. Has a curious aroma of chemicals, stale fridge air, and some light fruit and honey notes. In the mouth, there’s a mild fruity sweetness, some yeasty flavour and a mild hop presence. Has an amateur home brew feel to it. Quite an ordinary effort.

Pours amber with a small head.Aroma shows some floral and spicy hops, but not much else except something vaguely salty and almost sour, geueze style.Flavours share those sour notes, with some caramel in the background. Lemony sourness is off-putting.Quite watery.

Bottle. Light amber, tight white head. Spicy aroma. Weak palate. Little malty body. No real complexity. Some sourness. Tidy finish which is kind of impressive given the low hops. Far too carbonated. I don’t get it.

Bottled. Hazy bronze colour. Flowery, spicy nose. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Yeasty and somewhat medicinal. Grassy finish.
