Bottle. Light bronze, off-white head. Smells of orange peel. Tastes of it too. Nice matching lightly toasted malt. Some fruity hops, mild finish. Lacks a little weight.

Bottle. Hazy amber with fair white head. Little aroma, hops with a hint of vanilla. Medium palate with light carbonation. The flavour simply doesn’t work for me. There are two aspects that do not work together. On the one hand there is some interesting and quite complex spicy flavours - bitter orange, raisins, perhaps apricots and even pepper. On the other hand there is quit a bit of bitterness, which is partially hops, but there is an unpleasant metallic / phenolic edge. These just don’t sit well together. Also, the complex spiciness goes well, in stronger Belgian ales with the rich sweet maltiness, but that balancing flavour is lacking in this beer. It’s an interesting beer, and not bad, just it doesn’t work for me.

Hazy golden color, tropical fruit and caramel in nose. Tropical fruits dominate the mouth, but a solid malt backbone. Refreshing tropical fruit finish. Fairly enjoyable for the style. Another winner from this great brewery.
