The innovative combination of hops brings a real WOW and drinkability that finishes with huge satisfaction: NZ grown Riwaka hops with the tropical passionfruit.

Pouring this super pale pilsner into the glass captures you immediately, as the zing of the aroma hits your nostrils. From your first sip, you are drawn in and it smacks you across the palate. The finish is so satisfying, with its dry bitterness that leaves you contemplating the amazing hop flavours then starts the desire again for another taste.

330ml can from School of Animals, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is malt and light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, malt, light lemon citrus, big dry woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

'Bottle. Gold with a 3/2" white head. Aroma of gooseberry, Meyer lemon, passionfruit, lychee, some crackers and herbal notes. Light bodied, quite highly carbonated. I can see explosivedog''s review and although this bottle is not like that there is a little whisper of slickness there. Mostly though it''s crackery malt with punchy under-ripe tropical fruit, sav-blancy grassiness. Finish is bitter enough but doesn''t quite snap like the best Kiwi examples.'

500ml bottle. Pours clear bright gold with a big fluffy white head. Popcorn, biscuit, bit of passionfruit and mango trying to fight through, unfortunate savoury buttery popcorn finish. Quite a full body which makes it even more cloying. A clearly flawed beer that's the complete opposite of what a pilsner should be. I'm amazed a brewery of Epic's size, stature and reputation allowed such a thing.
