(Can - 2023 version is 6.2%) Pours clear red brown with tan head. Nice aroma of pine with toffee hints. Medium body with plenty of good carbonation. Unusual and very enjoyable taste. There’s plenty of hops giving bitterness and dankness, and a little tartness at the start. This is nicely partially balanced with toffee malt. Very enjoyable and different.

Can. Dark clear amber with a lovely inch of cream head. 4+ Aroma of sticky bread crust, dried tropical fruit, pine. 7+ Almost full bodied but not all that sweet with firm bitterness with spices and pine at the end. Malty but not lush. Fruity notes are a bit subdued. Some singed toffee notes in the aftertaste. Reminds me of the better souped up Hightails. --- Beer merged from original tick of Ira on 30 Apr 2019 at 12:36 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. On tap at brewery back in Feb 2018. Reddish brown with creamyish head. Lovely toffee malt aroma that is all over the tastebuds too. The pininess plays off against toffee well. My sort of beer. Very sessionable.

From a 330ml bottle on 19/12/2017. Pours a murky amber with a biggish head. There's some caramel malt and muted fruit on the nose. Taset wise, there's caramel, toast, rye and a modest fruity sweetness, followed by some pretty big, spicy, lingering hops. Fullish body with moderate carbonation. Definitely more bitter than sweet, but pretty well made.
