Ingredients: Malts: British Pale Ale Malt, Cara Malt, Malted Wheat. Heather, Bogmyrtle (Sweet Gale).
The Brotherhood have been guardians of the ancient Gaelic recipe for "leann fraoich" (heather ale) since 1988 and are proud to be the only brewery still producing this unique style of beer and distributing it world wide. A light amber ale with floral peaty aroma, full malt character, and a spicy herbal finish - This beer allows you to literally pour 4000 years of Scottish history into a glass.
Into the boiling bree of malted barley, sweet gale and flowering heather are added, then after cooling slightly the hot ale is poured into a vat of fresh heather flowers where it infuses for an hour before being fermented.

Bottle from Asahiya. A rich honey color with a light carbonation, light head of foam which quickly dissipated. Aroma of malt and fruit, reminiscent of a Belgian Triple. The flavor is fruity at first with the heather floral flavor following in the aftertaste. Very pleasant and possibly a beer which would give you nice breath too!

0.5l bottle shared with The Tastin. This is a light blurry golden one with a small quickly islandy and sidesticking just off-white top. It's quite fruity this one. Nutty-fruity with grass and some clear sourness. Could it be infected? Sour red berries. Kinda "wild" on the aroma. It's about average on the carbonation and light oily to watery on the mouthfeel. The taste; again, a bit "wild". Both sweet and berry-fruity. No bitterness to trace in this at all. Ends with hints of honey and something herbal. Not a bad beer, but I'm not sure I feel the need to try this again. 05.01.2012

Bouteille 330ml.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 11/2013
Aroma is fruity with bready malt and hints of herbs. Flavour has bready malt, herbs, some nettles and hints of gooseberry bush. Some honey notes at the end of the glass. Interesting, better than I expected.

Bottled, 0.50l. Clear deep golden color with medium frothy white head and lively carbonation. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruity notes of strawberry, banana and light alcohol note, too. Taste starts with sweet malt, but is quickly followed by sour fruitiness and finished very lightly bitter. Mouthfeel is warm with alcoholic note. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. I prefer hops, but it’s an interesting substitute...

Bottle pour to shaker. Hazy orange-amber. Pleasant flowery aroma. Herbal-floral taste. Light on the palate. The heather made this an interesting beer, but one I need to try again.

1 pint .09 oz. bottle. Purchased @ BrewTopia. English Pint glass shows mostly clear gold with a thin, white ring of head with light retention. Nose is malty and herbal. Taste is herbal with the flower petals coming through Mid-sip with a large amount of pale malts as the backbone. Leans on the lighter side of medium body. Very soft carbonation. Overall not a bad drink. Once you get used to the idea of no hops in a beer with a lot of flowers pedals, it can be enjoyable.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Clear golden. Aroma of spices, malt, honey, a bit of chocolate and a bit of earth. Sweet flavor with malt, honey, a bit of caramel, floral spiciness and a drier finish. Medium-bodied.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, honey, flowers and caramel. Watery and floral with a honey sweetness. Finishes lightly bitter. A bit strange, but interesting.
