The Extra Blond is of the “strong blond” type. Beautiful in its style, but of course with a recognizable D&L twist and signature. Very tasty, well hopped and not sweet. Floral, spicy and fruity notes from the hops give it a distinct character. With its 8.5%, a true tasting beer to enjoy at any time of the year.

(Draught at Café Derat, Utrecht, 18 Feb 2016) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with peaches, citrus, grass and white bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of peaches, citrus, bread and a sweetish finish with a balanced grassy, citric bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced for its strength. Nice one.

Bottle at Monday Club Erzbierschof. Candy floral aroma. Light and crisp, but still tasty, well matching taste and aroma. Great brew!

Golden color with white head. Fruity, spicy, grainy, bready. Feels heavy. Not too balanced. Quite nice though, just a bit too strong for me. At least it’s not really sweet.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear orange golden color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is lightly malts, lightly yeast, lightly hops. Taste lightly malts, lightly yeast, a slight hint of herbs or spices, perhaps a hint of orangepeel in there as well with a light bitter finish. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle @ benzai. Slightly hazy golden colour with a small to medium sized white head. Smells tea, malts, slightly sweet, slightly herbal. Fresh. Tastes sweet, malts, apricot, fruity, saison, slightly Belgian yeast, slightly dishwashing fluid but not too bad. Medium body, soft to medium carbo. Nice spring/summer brew.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Biernavigatie.nl Golden with a big white head. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy for a Belgian blonde. Taste is nicely bitter and mouthfeel is creamy. A surprisingly tasty blonde which is deceptively easily drinkable.
