ABV: 7.2%. ✅ Clear medium to dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good - fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, wood, moderate hoppy, pine, light grapefruit, light licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, grapefruit, pine, dark mark, wood, roasted - dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20210724]

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Cloudy dark brown, rich creamy head. Earthy nose with licorice and grapefruit. Mid sweet with medium to full body and dense, soft mouthfeel. Caramel, coffee, licorice, earth and grapefruit. Long bitter finish. Impressive!

Draft @ Fira del Poblenou, BCN - 06 juillet 2019. Brune foncée, col fin beige. Arôme est malté, plaisant caramel, grillé et léger café perçant en rétro-nasal. Seigle donne une petite note épicée, sorte de chocolat belge avec un rétro plaisant houblonné tirant sur les agrumes. Palais est malté, grillé, petite touche épicée et épaisse du seigle, houblonné agrumes et herbacé.

330ml bottle bought at Cervezas Althaia Artesana in Altea. Stable, creamy, beige head to a coal black body. Clingy lacing down the glass. Attrative aroma of roasted bread and pine. Well blended taste of rye bread, grain, and pine needles. Ends with a lingering malt-piney impact. Fine bodied. Good drinking. (Hotel room, El Albir 01.04.2019).

33cl bottle bought at the brewery in Altea. Pours close to black with a beige head. Roasty and hoppy aroma as expected; fresh citrus and pine with notes of coffee, chocolate and licorice. Nice mixture and well balanced. Moderate sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Surprisingly tasty and the mixture of hoppy and roasty flavours are spot on.
