Canned (thanks God Of Thunder!). Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is lactose, some smoked and mild chorizo like meaty elements. Flavour is lactose, some smoked mild toasted tones and mild herbal tones. Nice balanced. Mild meaty tones in the flavour too.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a relatively fast-dying, two to three centimetre tall off-white and tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, lactose, light coffee, earth, nuts, molasses, pitted fruits, prunes and a bunch more of the roasted (almost burnt) malts with a hint of both chiles and chocolate at the end. Medium-bodied; Assertive roasted malt flavours dominate with some coffee and chocolate throughout and the faintest dose of chiles and spice noticeable, but more of the lactose and vanilla flavours, with some pitted fruits, prunes and raisins coming through as well, but ending with the nice sweetness and a balance of malt and light spices. Aftertaste is rich, sweet and full of malt and character with the burnt malts pairing nicely with the caramelised sugars and the toffee and peat comes out along with some lactose. Overall, a pretty nice beer overall with some good complexities, but throughout an easy-drinking and flavourful beer with some sweetness and malt aspects that stick out most, but finishes nicely. The time in the can might have done some good - there was nothing astringent here, the complexities were abound and the body was still pretty nice and about what I'd expect as a Sweet Stout around 6 per cent alcohol. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida on 05-May-2018 for US$2,84, sampled at my house here in Washington just over two years later on 19-May-2020.

It's smooth, sometimes you don't want a thick bomb, this is refreshing and flavorful, wish more chiles though.
