Prairie Noir is our whiskey barrel aged imperial oatmeal stout. We brew this beer with a huge amount of oats to give it an ever so silky mouth feel. Notes of coffee, chocolate, and toasted marshmallow can be found in the flavor and aroma of this beer. Notes of whiskey and carmel are also packed into this beer.

From a bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of dark pit fruit, chocolate, and vanilla. Flavors are sweet but not cloying. Very delicious.

355ml bottle (thx, Rick P.!). Pours a very dark brown with a weak dark beige head. Aroma is chocolatey, bourbon, some leather notes. Similar taste with tons of chocolate, some fruity notes. Moderately to high sweet. Chocolate cake aftertaste. Just a bit boozy. This one is great! Definitely my style of BBA Imperial Stouts!

Some roast and a little whiskey. Odd note of staleness here like old smokes in Alberta. Black pour with ok head. Some chocolate. Oily and a little syrupy. Less good than their high standard stouts. Tap at Churchkey.
