Bottle. Goden colour with a large white head due to the high carbonation, good lasting. Aroma is fruity with notes of tangeine and citrus, some floral hints as well. Flavor is moderate bittery with yeasty notes and slightly sweet. The final is moderate bittery with notes of yeast.

Bottle from ABS. grainy, minerally nose, earthy, chocolate, some husks, some orange. More like a typical Belgian amber nose. Amber-orange with a medium high, fine head. Earthy, fruity, malty flavor. Chocolate, caramel, grass, peaches, oranges. Rather stringent, seeming from both hops and malt. Flavor loses that astringendy as it opens, oranges, peaches, amber malts with some caramel, minerals, earthy bitterness. Soft, smooth, full body. Still, a bit too rough.

33 cl. bottle. BBF 03/2016. Gushes for a long time – I saw that coming so its not that bad. Pours extremely murky amber, slightly off-white, okay sized head. Bitter USA hops in the nose, very thick yeast, bitter floral, thick expired medicine,… Taste is bitter grapefruit hops cooked together with very thick yoghurt yeast, caramelized sugar, very bitter hay, touch pineapple, fruity hops, light expired medicine, bitter medicinal herbs and bitter Chinese spices in the finish. Thicker, overt yeast in the body. Wow actual an enjoyable beer from Gaverhopke – now there is a surprise to say the least! At least it appears to be mildly infected. Does add some validity to the claim that brewing an USA styled IPA is not that hard because these guys are quite terrible in general. (drank @ home / procured @ Willems)

Pours amber into a tulip. Bright white head with little retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Dusty grape aromas. Astringent with sweet caramel, hay and dusty grapes upfront turning to nutty earthy bitterness in the medium length hot finish.

VERY cloudy burnt orange almost oaky appearance. 3 finger white pillow head. Nose is citrus (lemon, tangerine) and candied sugar. Taste is Interesting beer. the ABV is totally hidden! sweet finish and not very hoppy. More of a belgian strong ale sweetness. Interesting for sure.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is bitter and citrusy. FLavor is again a nice bitter hop with a chalky malt in the backround. Not overly hoppy but deffinatly all things bitter. Finish drys the mouth out. Decent beer but nothing to overwhelm.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, light-amber colour with a big and minimally off-white foamy head. Spicy Belgian yeasts combined with lemony, flowery and slightly resiny hops on a cara-malty background. Moderately sweet and mildly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Robust caramely malty taste with spicy yeasts, as well as citric hops, resin and traces of cough syrup; sweet malty and mildly hop bitter finish with spicy and delicately fruity accents. Likeable brew, but rather mediocre for a Double IPA. 7.I.13

Bottle from Willems. Hazy orange with a diminishing off-white head and lots of floaties in spite of upright storage. Aroma is sweet, malty, yeasty and moderate hoppy - fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 181012

Whole Foods, Bowery 330ml ($5): Pours an orange colour with a white head that leaves a full lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, loads of it, candy, and some hops. This is way more Belgian ale than DIPA; however, the hops are nice and provide a nice aftertaste. It has a nice little flowery sweetness. Body is light and easy to drink.
