SNAB uses the exotic Sicilian orange blossom and creamy Canadian clover honey for King Honey. To fully express the honey flavor, the honey is only added after the main fermentation. The delicate vanilla Bourbon de Madagascar completes the subtle honey tones. Balance in sweet and bitter gives a Special beer: taste and enjoy the King among the Honey beers ..

Amber beer. Sweet malty start and then quite a fruity mid. Dry and slightly creamy malt finish. A bit different.

(Draught at Café Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 31 July 2010) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with dried fruit, honey and orange. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, honey and orange. Slightly more than medium body, well rounded with some honey sweetness and a fairly mild bitterness. Nice and tasty.

Bottle: Hazy, golden to deep golden, huge - very slowly collapsing - off-white and lacy head; bisquits and shy hops in the sweetish dusty-malty nose, perhaps combined with a tinge of honey and illusions of x-mas spices(?); moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; illusions of honey - again - in the robust malty, fruizty (the honey) and bitter finish. Nice winter-warmer.....

Bottled (CK, BB 12/2009). Almost clear copper brown color, big cloudy beige head. Very strong nose: there is honey, leather, brown sugar, dark malts and fruity notes. Suprisingly quite watery palate. Tastes quite much like Pommac -soft drink: pears, apple and grapefruit but mixed with bready notes and some honey. Personal brew, but not something I would like to have another bottle.
