Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Storo, Oslo. Vintage 2016. Clear dark brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, a little roasted malt, dark fruit and light tart. Flavor is quite sweet and slightly acidic. Dry and slightly acidic finish. Judging by earlier ratings the tartness must have developed over time. It suits the beer well, though. 111119

Nice tasty beer. Dark body with a fine tan head. Ok lacing. Good intensity in the aroma. Solid body and a pleasant carbonation level. Tad sweet and a bit oily texture. Dark malt, fruity, some spices, some yeast and a bit bready flavor. Ok character in this one.

330 ml bottle, Lot 1916, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%. Black colour, large beige head. Moderate aroma of spicy saison yeast and lightly roasted malts, hints of dark sugar. The medium sweet flavour has notes of dark sugar and dark malts, hints of liquorice and mild spices, moderate hops. Fizzy but slightly warming mouthfeel.

Bottle at Bdin lfestival, Bod. Has a clear brown colour with a dark beige head. Sweet aroma of Belgian yeast, grass, spices and some alcohol. Belgian yeast in the flavour with almonds, grass and some alcohol. Has a slick mouth feel, medium to full-bodied and medium bitterness. A little unbalance. Could easily been a light saison.

On tap at Haand Festival. A clear, brown colored beer with a dark beige head leaving lacing. The aroma has coffee, chocolate and roasted malts, with a hint of burnt malts too. Yeast too, in a quite nice way though. It’s lightly sweetish on the palate, with a fine bitterness, roasted, almost burnt malts, coffee and chocolate, yeast and dark dried fruits. Lasting roasted and bitter finish. A bit on the yeasty side this one, but quite decent anyway. 160528

Flaske 330ml. Gave fra Rune. Delt med djoeye i heimen 11 Feb 17. Ultramørkebrun. Høyt tett & stabilt skum med litt farge. Lett røykaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken litt røyk med innslag av krydder. Tørr avslutning. Behagelig øl.

330ml bottle at Agenturet Øl og Vinbar. Deep dark brown body, just a few bubble on a shiny dark surface. Scattered lacing. Dark malty aromas of dark bread and coffee. Malt-accented taste profile of lightly roasted bread, liquorice, coffee and a backdrop of dark fruits. Smooth malt-fruity finish. Clean in the mouth. Dangerously easy to drink, discreet traces of alcohol. A pleasant surprise, I must say (Tromsø 29.12.2016).

10.11.2016, 0,33l bottle @ local tasting:
Big fizzy longlasting head. Aroma is co2 stinging in the nose, yeast, vanilla cream, minerals, banana, weeds, bark, paper, burnt grain, burnt sugar, hay. Taste is dry roasted, weeds, minerals, roasted grain, yeast, bark, medicine, burnt coffee, flowers, paper, burnt sugar. Medium bitterness, harsh yeasty mouthfeel. Just weird, drainpour.
