‘ELSER’ betekend elsrijk land, zoals je in de regio Amstelveen en Aalsmeer van oorsprong veel kon vinden. In dit traditionele iets troebele en bleke kuitbier wordt veel haver gebruikt en proef je de authenthiek Hollandse sfeer van de 15e eeuw.

33 cl bottle @ home. Hazy golden color. White head with 1 bubble layer retention. Aroma’s: first a bit vegetal, fruit, later more grain, some sweet spices. Retronasal there’s sweet malts, light fruit, light spices. Flavor is moderate sweet, fruity, a bit yeasty. Medium bodied. Short finish, sweet spices linger. OK.

Draft at Hoppy Days. Pours cloudy dull light orange with a white head. Aroma of yeast, pepper, light citrus, light fruits, apple and a little weedy. Flavour is light to light moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle shared with Kermis. White head which disappears quickly. Cloudy blond pour. Refreshing but not a beer I think I’d drink again.

Spicy blond beer, brewed with a traditional herb called kuit. Gives the beer a grassy and a bit dusty taste. Decent.

Bottle sample at NHBF’14. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of oat, soap, citrus, yeast. Flavour is yeasty, oats, wheat, soap, citrus, decent dry bitter finish. Light-bodied. Nice enough beer.

Bottled @ Cafe Maria, medium sample. Cloudy pale yellow color, short frothy head. Aroma of grainy oats, some wheat, bit citrussy, strawberry, slight funky yeasty notes, bit spicy. Slight sweet and slight bitter, slight sourish. Like a bit funky belgian white with grainy notes from the oat. Interesting how this develops.
