Bottle shared at Leightons place, 31/07/2017. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A warming alcohol, jammy fruits, cakey, custard, . Flavour is composed medium sweet, toffee, cakey malts, . Vanilla cake, dried fruit and coffee. Palate is sticky sweet, Jolly ranger, nice age on this one.

Bottle at home. Pours deep brown, nose is berries, malty, toffee, caramel, meaty, taste is similar, really rich.

Bottled (backlog). Deep ambery brown colour, close to black. Small off-white bubbly/foamy head. Aroma is spices, fruits, mild chocolate and some berries. Flavour is chocolate, spices, alcohol, some ripe fruits, berries and mild toasted notes.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a dark brown black color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel aroma with hoppy hints. Dry malty spicy licorice and caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a dry malty spicy licorice and caramel finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare and a small off white head. Aroma is fruity, light toasted and mild chemical. Sweet, caramelish and toasted malty. Bitter and light caramelish warming. Sweet toasted caramelish malty finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a reddish brown with a tiny, off-white head. Sweet, syrupy aroma - a little roast. Rich body, low in carbonation, a little woody, overripe fruit, greasy hops and a rather bitter and boozy finish. 150413

Bottle 330ml.Clear dark black brown colour with a average, open and frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet sugar, fruity, sweet dark fruit. Initial flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter, finish flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet roasted, sugary, hoppy, alcohol, sweet dark fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20121208]

Bottle from Cotteridge; dark brown pour with a tiny beige head, roasted malt aroma, sweet molasses taste quite vicious liquorice warming alcohol.

Bottle at Deanso’s crappy music tasting. Poured a dark mahogany. The aroma is hugely bitter, The flavour is bitter with lots of liqourice and spice. A superb beer that deserves its rating.
