A very average pilsener at best. Water and very industrial taste to it. There are better pilseners available.

*rating overgezet 2016* Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een dun wit schuim. Het heeft een moutige en licht hoppige geur. De smaak is moutig en licht bitter in de afdronk.

From Inbev Dommelen. Wort and hay in the aroma. Neutral, sweetish taste with wort and a bit of citrus. Bland supermarket pilsener.

Clear golden with small fizzy white head. Apple, sweet grains, light sweet nuts, corn, sugary, raw vegetables. Light to medium sweet with metallic and vegetal bitter finish. Light bodied with low carbonation. Not good but drinkable.

330 ml. can sampled @ home. BBF 12/2015. Clear apple juice, collapsing big white bubbles. Nose is corn, watery, weak, big vegetable, sweat, pickle juice, ugh,… Taste is watery sugar, cardboard, cheap sweetener, odd sweet paper, nasty sweat, watered down pickle juice, DMS, cooked cabbage dominates, watery grass,… Thin, faintly metallic, very watery,… Cheap rubbish, exactly as expected.

Bottle from (obviously) an Albert Heijn supermarket. Pours a deep and pure golden blonde, cristal clear with calm fizz, a tad darker than usual for the style; thin, snow white, quickly dissolving head, leaving a steady rim on the edge of the glass. Weak aroma dominated by malt sweetness (maltose!), dull graininess and leafy and somewhat cheesy hoppiness, but not much else. Taste reflects the aroma: on the neutral side, predominantly grainy with some bready malt sweetness, a tad metallic, with early presence of leafy, dull, bitterish hops, establishing a medium long finish; somewhat less carbonated than I am used to from the style and a bit watery as a consequence. Perfectly acceptable standard pale lager but I hesitate to call this a ’Pilsener’, if this term is to be reserved for the ’original’ Czech- and German-style ’forefathers’ of the pale lager style.
