Beer No. 27 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Draught at the Brewbaker. Murky pale brown coloured, medium sized off-white head, light fruit and smoke in the nose. Light smoked malty, fruity and hint of caramel with pretty long -lasting smokey aftertaste. Not so typical smoked beer with also mild hint of spices near the end.

Draught at the brewpub. Murky orange brown with good lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild smoke with some orange rind. Flavour is light grilled bacon with an even roasted finish. Palate is lingering dry, slight bitterness. Nice

Draft @ Brewbaker August 9th, 2011. Une belle robe orangée brumeuse, col épais crémeux. Arôme est subtilement bien fait, entre un malt fumé et carmel avec des touches de houblons allant sur le pin et le résineux. En bouche, le malt fumé reste présent mais se trouve par occasion pris par le houblon qui procure plus ce profile citron et pin et enlève un peu de sa saveur au malt fumé. Palais est crémeux avec de belles notes de résine et de fumé et des notes de caramel. Se laisse déguster et en se réchauffant un peu le cote fumé s’en retrouve que meilleur.

Tap @ Brewbaker. Dark ruby red colour, medium dense off-white head. Aroma is slightly smoked, little bit of bacon. Flavour is light malted and grainy. Little smokiness and caramel. Subtle rauchbier

(Draught at the brewpub on 2009-02-08) Dark golden and cloudy. Medium sized white head. Grilled sausage in aroma. Medium bodied palate, bit dry and medium carbonation. Grilled sausage, malts, bit of sweetness and hint of grass in taste. Bitterness and grilled sausage in aftertaste.
