Bottle from Bu11zeye! Pours dark copper with a light beige head. Aromas of med dark fruit and rye spice and oak. Med + body. Flavor is rye, fruit oak, roasty caramel. It is shockingly flavorful and delicious. Finishes with a hint of sweet malt, but the rye/oak/fruit are killer dominant. Really good stuff.

Bottle @ Armin’s, courtesy of foppa78. Thanks Mat! Slight gusher. Orangish brown appearance with a light brown head. Oaky/woody, caramel malty, earthy, dull hoppy, slightly oxidized nose. A little oxidized, a touch fruity, rich oaky, caramel/rye malty, toasty flavor. Definitely an interesting beer but past its prime.

Pours clear copper with full tan head. The full pungent aroma is a mix of citrus, oakiness, a touch of sour citrus and mild spicy rye notes. The taste is a touch prickly with carbonation tossing up spicy oak, malt sweetened citrus and then mildly drying white wine. Around that array of flavors are various oak spiciness and spicy hops. Tasty stuff that creates just hints of the booze from barrel aging. It does end up with a rather thin body.

Bouteille partagée avec Retorp. Couleur orange brumeuse, col blanc.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye (via the brewer). Pours with a huge off-white head covering a hazy orange body. Aroma of oak, pencils, floral, flint. Taste is vanilla, light hops, caramel and toffee. Really wood dominant, with lightly toasted oak. Reminds me of the Woodcut beers a bit. Wood notes dominate the hop character. Lively bubbles. Good beer.
