22 oz. bottle. Good lightly sweet smell, subdued weizen esters beneath slight chocolate and coffee roast. Coca-Cola dark with a bumpy head once I properly pour down the side. Taste has a nice soft texture, a surprising bit of tart cherry. Malts are surprisingly bready, with dark roasts softened by wheat. Don’t think this is being properly labeled, as “Bonfire” would imply smoke, and meantime, I’m finding little chocolate. But this is still a nice beer.

Pour is an almost black with a small tan head. Aroma is somewhat smoky with a nice roasted malt. Flavor has a nice clove to start out with then follows with some malty sweetness. Not really as complex as some others i have had of this style and it was really missing the money shot combo of a rich clove and banana. Its there but its not as strong as i would have liked.

Pours a murky dark brown, with a foam, thick, lasting lace - a lot of earthy wheat malt goodness in the aroma, with some sticky caramel and chocolate sweetness, clove, nutty character, light hints of smoke - medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel - a wee bit tart and tangy at first - some overripe banana and clove - develops a moderate sweetness in addition to a chocolate pudding kind of flavor near the end, but that wheat tanginess never totally leaves the tongue - not as complex as the aroma suggests, but pretty darn tasty.
