Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a dark brown appearance with a brown head. Roasty malty, coffee, light anise, fairly herbal, a touch fruity aroma. Slightly acidic, chocolate, coffee, slightly burnt flavor. Not a big fan of this one.

Pitch Black Color, Huge Cappuccino Head, Lots Of Thin Lacing. Vanilla, Chocolate, Roasted Aroma. Taste About The Same: Vanilla, Roasted Malt, Light Chocolate. Rather Thin Body, Light ABV. Light bitter sour Finish. Decent, Although Too Thin. Retiring, Try While It Lasts...

Poured from a bottle it is s dark brown with a flight head. The aroma is of roasted coffee and the taste is of coffee and milk chocolate that lingers bitter on the palate.

Bottle at Meade Station, Denver - 01/06/12. Dark brown with a then head that soon dissipated. Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee in both aroma and taste. Bog standard porter basically!

Espresso, charcoal, and raisin aroma. Clear mahogany, medium tan head, nice lacing. Charcoal and mulberry flavor, tame. Creamy mouthfeel. This did not strike me as being robust at all. It tastes fine, but was rather weak.

Bottle from Liz. Pours black with a fizzy/foamy tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate. It’s very stongly and frothily carbonated. The flavor is really chocolate - but more towards chocolate soda. The carb is so dominating it interferes with taste. However, I’d say chocolate, smooth burnt malt, and some hop bitter. Tasty, though physically distracting.

12oz bottle. Cola black with a solid beige head. Roasty chocolate aroma. A pretty well done Porter, could have been called Chocolate Porter easily. Rich, on the lighter side of full bodied. A lot of interesting bitterness depth, with the orange citrus of the hop interplaying with the chocolate cocoa tones. Not exactly world class, but enjoyable and rather well executed.

Bottle thanks to a generous BA. Pours dark brown with a slight red hue and a light brown head that dissipated to the edges and lace a bit. Aroma is full of sweet grains with some cereal and dark grains. Flavor has a hint of coffee with sweet dark grains giving a bit of a light chocolate note.
