On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a black body and a lasting brown head. Aromas are roasty, cocoa, caramel, lactose and some light esters. Flavors are creamy, lactose, coco-puffs, lightly nutty. A bit lighter on the body, creamy. A well done little milk stout.

On tap. Dark brown with an orange hue and a small off-white head. Sweetish hard roasted malt aroma. Medium body with a soft mouthfeel, very sweet hard roasted malts and some sweet licorice also. No bitterness as such, but ends very sweet. 080709

From tap at the brewpub in Solana Beach. Pours dark brown to black with a small orange glare and a small tan head. Roasted malt aroma with a solid coffeeish note. Bitter and slight acidic flavoured with a mild chocolate note to a solid roasted malt base and coffeeish flavours. Bitter and roasted coffee and chocolate malt flavoured finish.

Draft in Solana Beach. A dark chestnut colored beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, nuts, cocoa, and some coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, roasted malt, and lactose, leading to a sweet and lightly roasted finish.
