The Sunray Wheat is a German style unfiltered wheat beer brewed with a touch of local, Georgia Coast, Tupelo honey from the Savannah Bee Company. It’s inviting banana/sweet clove like aroma gives way to a pleasant, clean finish with a hint of tartness.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a large white head. The aroma was a complex and inviting mix of dry spice, citrus and a lingering musty undertone. The flavor was dryish and tart with dry baking spices and a hint of lemon zest. Fairly rich and full with a longish tart spicy finish. More of a Belgian Wit in style. Tasty.

Tap at Trappeze, Athens. Pours golden hazy with white head. Aroma has a good dose of honey and fruits, as well as some well balanced spices. Taste, light, very refreshing and enjoyable. Orange/citrus with the right touch of sweetness of the honey. Mouthfeel has notes of wheat, light spices with coriander. Overall an extremely well crafted wheat ale. Too bad it is only available in the mix pack.

"Lemmie see, what’s there not to like about a good wheat beer? Lovely bright solar related label. I think that’s another thing about most wheat beers, they promote life and enjoying it., not death and destruction. Rarely do you see a dark lord wheat, saturation impaerial wheat stout or triple rude IPA wheat. Nice swirling wheat pour, hypnotizing. Gunky bottom goop, what fun. Slender lemony hints laced with sulfur olfactory. Tasty and refreshing. No terrible hops or malt bitterness, simply refreshing. All the natural attributes of real beer shine through. Friendly and enjoyable. Finish is a smooth as that spot on the upper section of your mate’s leg. I may say even a tad tart, straw hints. Creamy sociable carbonation. Enjoyability is certainly in the upper quantile. A cinch to like. The ending leaves you wanting more, could drink a few bottles of this. Spring water end of session. Lovely, overall for a lager lover. "
