Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is extremely heavy coffee and everything else is overpowered. Flavor is medium sweet and light acidic. Dry and light acidic finish. Not a fan of cold and light acidic coffee. 111013

Opaque dark brown beer, tiny tan head. Palate is light and slightly soft. Mild minerals. Rich earthy coffee, not that bitter. Underpinned by malt cream. Finishes semi dry with a espresso flavours and coffee tang. Decent if somewhat one dimensional.

33 cl bottle @ home. Bottled 26.02.2013, BBE 26.02.2018
Aroma is rather nice with mocha coffee, dark chocolate, hints of licorice and peppery jalopenos. Flavour is quite a disappointment after that. It has coffee, mocha and jalopeno-like vegetables. Finishes dry with harsh bitterness, rubbery notes and peppery spiciness. Most likely a bottle too old even though the BBE date is far in the future. Most of coffee beers just can’t make it.

Very promising beer, but I was disappointed. Coffee taste was a bit flat and overall the beer was a bit top sweet.

Bottle from Pibar, Lausanne, bottled 26/02/13
Very dark brown color, almost black, with very small head. Aroma of bad coffee, mild. Quite good flavor of roasted malts, with a touch of dark chocolate, and shades of coffee; correct body, the mouthfeel is definitively dry; correct bitterness; coffeish finish.
Not exceptional.
