Keg at Brewdog Shepard’s bush. Dark black / brown coloured pour with a a lasting medium tan head. Attractive beer. Aroma is woody, oak, solvent, bark, caramel, vanilla. Flavour is composed of nice full on salted caramel milkshake, oak, honey. Palate is full and creamy, velvety, highish carbonation. Some background dark fruits. Lovely.

Tap at Brewdog Helsinki, Helsinki. Colour is black with very small white head. Aromas and flavours: Coffee, vanilla, some wood, dryness and malts. Needs more maltiness. Interesting but can’t really say do I like this or not.

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with medium light tan head. Aroma of coffee, dried fruit, wood, bread, licorice, citric acid and knäckebröd. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter and light sour with notes of dried fruit, licorice, coffee and lemon. Full bodied with medium carbonation. Weirdly sour.

Aroma of cereal and roasted barley with hints of coffee. Has a nice black body and some decent head. Flavour is a nice mix of molasses and barley with notes of prune, coffee, chocolate. Good hop oils on the mouth and not at all cloying. A very good strong dark brew.

Brewdog Sheps Bush. Keg. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with good fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, some cream. Spicy licorice runs throughout. A mildly sour tang develops but the spicy licorice dominates. Soft dry finish. Decent.
