Can. Just hazy gold with a white head that's soon less than a coat. 3- Modest fruity aroma with apricots, mandarins, a little bracken. 6+ Medium bodied. Fruity and quite sour with a moderate tropical astringency at the end. Refreshing on a hot night. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Sour Matriarch on 28 Feb 2019 at 12:36 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Can. Cloudy deep gold/amber. Funk on nose. Surprisingly full-bodied sour and more impressive for it. Not super pucker, with more hops than pure fruit flavour. Quirky.

It's not surprising to see the CoConspirators go for a serious, full-on sour. You can definitely taste the original Matriarch in this beer. I smell a fair bit of passionfruit, mango and lemon, and that lemon is very prominent on tasting, perhaps slightly overwhelming the other NEIPA aspects.
