Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Rich, malty, chocolate, vanilla aroma. Tastes rich, malty, chocolate, vanilla, caramel. Velvety smooth Imperial Stout. The Danes know how to make world class Imperial stouts and this was quite exquisite.

Keg @ BBB. Black pour with a small dark mocha head. Heavy chocolate nose with roast, raisins & chocolate covered cherries. Very complex with balanced leather, dark dried fruits & high quality chocolate. No barrel treatment but shows signs of fine aging. Sweet, bitter, malty & roasty taste. Round, velvety, tiny astringent & tiny boozy mouthfeel. This impressed me a lot. Amazingly complex chocolate impy. Plenty of cracks.

Black with thin head. Aroma is packed full of sweet malts. Also a bit earthy. Flavour is plentiful in its bittersweet chocolatey malts. Rich and oily.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Black with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla and cocoa. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Very sweet and moderate bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily and soft. Might have been even better if it had been less unbalanced, but still a really good beer. 010317
