Draught @ BBB. Pours murky deep golden with a creamy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving some sticky lacing on the glass. Smell is malty and slightly fruity with dark bread, grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, pine needles, orange peal, lemon zest and hints of butter taste is tiny sweet, bitter, malty and tiny fruity with dark bread, biscuits, unfermented wort, grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, pine needles, frozen green peas, moist soil, minerals, butter, orange peal and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is soft, flat, round, astringent and medium bodied. Finish is bitter with bread, unfermented wort, grapefruit, grass, pine, frozen green peas, laundry detergent, minerals, butter, orange peal and lemon zest. Lots of off-flavours and all in all a pretty nasty experience. I’m not worried though. I know Timo knows what’s doing and this small batch probably went wrong. Looking forward to revisit.
