Bottle courtesy of Cunningham. Pours hazy brownish golden with a rather small offwhite head that leaves some small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty and tiny fruity with bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, moist grass, pine needles and lemon zest. Taste is bitter, tiny malty and tiny fruity with bread, caramel, grapefruit rinds, moist grass, pine needles, orange peal, lemon peal and hints of butter. Mouthfeel is astringent, tiny watery and light bodied. finish is bitter with bread, grapefruit rinds, moist grass, pine needles and orange peal. Bit too bitter and bready for me... --- Beer merged from original tick of No Control on 18 Oct 2014 at 12:47 - Score: 6

On tap at Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Almost clear amber with a rather small, off-white head. Hoppy and fruity aroma with notes of peaches, mild citrus, malt and hints of pine, herbs and caramel. Moderate to medium sweet with quite balanced flavours and a fairly bitter and citrusy finish. Medium+ body with average carbonation. Well brewed - tasty and refreshing APA.

Lovely first impression. Perfect unclear orange golden color with a fine finger thick white head. Ok lacing down the glass. When you open it you get a fine mandarin aroma in your nose. Mmmmmm. Decent fine mild aroma with some citrus coming up first. Then some tropical fruits and a bit malty. Ok medium body with a moderate sweetness and a fresh bitterness. Ok carbonation, but can be a bit soft after a while. But then you have already finished it. Smooth nice flavor. No flavor to dominant. But citrus and tropical fruity are easy words to use. Fine balance and a god malty backbone. Not the most fancy beer for beer nerds. But I will definitely have more of this one. A really fresh and fine ale you can drink all night. Solid batch # 1 from these guys.
