Draught at The Rover, Göteborg, on July 26, 2012Murky amber color, creamy off-white head. Malty, sweet, berry, slight bit acidic scent. Berry, sweet, sugary, fruity, acidic, banana taste. Banana aftertaste. Fresh and refreshing. A bit harsh, medium low bitterness. You notice the fruit / berry peels in there. Medium bitterness that is enhanced by dry fruit and berry peels.I like it, but then I like to experiment with fruits and berries in beers. I think I would have liked it even more had it been a pale ale in the bottom, now the fruity/berry parts gets mixed with the banana from the yeast, sort of can’t decide what it wants to be. STill, it’s nice and summery!

Draught @ BAJT. Pours hazy pale pinkish red with a creamy pinkish white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet and fruity with bilberries, cloves, lemon zest, wheat crackers, white sugar, red currants and hints of rhubarb and raspberries. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter and floral with crackers, dry soil, cloves, hay, black pepper, wheat flour, bay leaves, dry tobacco, wet leaves, lemon peal and hints of bilberries and raspberries. Mouthfeel is rough, dry, tiny oily bitter, astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with lemon peal, raspberries, grass, dry soil, cloves and rhubarb. Very rough and not really up my alley.
