Aroma is fruity with strawberries and hints of roastiness. Flavour is somewhat hoppy and slightly tart with vanilla, bourbon and some roastiness. Nice, much more character than in the cognag version.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20111213) The beer poured almost black and clear. Its head was medium sized and light brown. Aroma had whisky, vanilla and hint of roasted malts in the background. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were vanilla, whisky, ash, roastedness and bitterness. Aftertaste had vanilla, roasted malts and bitterness. Initially the barrel hid the beer flavours and aromas but when the beer warmed up it was more balanced.
