Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast, peach and a slight honey. Flavor is a big fruit ester with some banana and raw honey. Finish has honey and a ripe fruit. Decent but different take on a triple. Still this was way flavorful and one of those beers where every sip takes on a different flavor profile. The 3rd beer I’ve had from this brewer and all are well above par.

GABF 2014. Pours a hazy yellow orange appearance with an off white head. Gooey mouth feel. Lots of esters. Apple, banana, and pear. Slightly spicy. A bit on the sweet side. Ehh.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with full head. Aromas of lemon wax, dried apricots, honey, and alcohol. Fruity flavours of green bananas, honey, resin and light spice. Scrubbing carbonation.

750mL bottle at Bailey's, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, some spice, and carbonated water. Flavour is very complex, with notes of Belgian yeast, light candied sugar, and sparkling water. Very authentic tripel, with high complexity. Excellent stuff.

Draught @ BrewDog Gothenburg. Impressed this has reached Sweden already and at all. Pours hazy golden with a frothy and creamy white head that leaves some thick lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is slightly fruity, floral and slightly phenolic with crackers, freshly baked white bread, dry soil, pear skins, peach skins, dried flowers, white pepper corns, dry wood and lemon zest. Taste is slightly sweet, tiny bitter, fruity and phenolic with crackers, white bread, green apples, pear skins, hay, dry soil, white pepper corns, lemon zest, moist grass, mango, peaches and hints of alcohol and spearmint. Mouthfeel is soft, slightly dry, slightly oily, very tiny boozy, slightly spicy astringent and medium bodied. Finish is slightly bitter and phenolic with white bread, pear skins, peaches, hay, white pepper corns, dry soil and hints of alcohol. Tasty triple with the just right amount of the right components (dry peppery phenols and tropical fruits) and none if the wrong components (cloying banana esters). --- Beer merged from original tick of Straffe Drieling Tripel on 02 Aug 2014 at 17:41 - Score: 8. Capped 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours very hazy gold with a creamy white head. Lightly funky aroma with citrus and something like white pepper. Med body. Flavor is lightly funky with some serious "hot" spice. Clove? Pepper? Grains of Paradise? Not getting a huge amount of non-citrus fruit, but I think there’s traces of banana ester. Interesting, lightly funky brew.
