Our tasty Imperial Saison, the Worker (9.4% ABV), is prickly sweet with some spiciness. The Worker has aroma notes of over-ripened peaches, dates, and stone fruit. The rye is very apparent and gives the beer a spicy floral taste.

Light fruity nose. Hazy medium amber colour, tall frothy off-white head, receding slowly, fair lacing. Aroma pale malts, caramel, apricot, peach, yeast, alcohol. Taste medium sweet and bitter, touch of acidity, malty, fruity and spicy notes. Sweetbitter aftertaste, dry bitter finish, medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation. Decent strong ale but certainly not a Saison.

Amber colour. Aroma is a bit musty. Also some syrupy fruits. Although sweet the strong carbonation prevents it from being too cloying.

Bottle at home. Almost clear dark golden with big fluffy off white head. Peach, lots of alcohol, sweet malts, rotting apples, bitter herbal hops, condensed milk, paper, some spicy yeast. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with very fizzy carbonation and quite some alcohol. Way too much alcohol.

33cl bottle from a trade with Douberd, many thanks! Pours almost clear dark orange golden colour with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of spicy pale malt, grain, vegetables. Taste of spicy malt, herbs, mild bitter hops, nothing special.

Tap. Deep golden color with white head. Aroma is sweetish fruits, fresh belgian yeasts, some sweetish malts, hints of apple vinegar. Taste is sweet fruits, some toasted malts, phenolic, boozy finish. Medium to high carbonation. Not bad, but not exactly what I think of when I read Imperial Saison.

Sampled from tap at Brouwersfestival Utrecht 2016. Clear, golden amber with an off-white head. Fruity, slightly grassy aroma of peach, caramel and some clove. Sweetish, fruity taste of peach, caramel, a bit of honey and clove, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little grassy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.

Bottle courtesy of Kermis. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is light mineral citrus, herbal, yeast. The flavour is acid citrus with a mineral aspirin, light yeast, light spice palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

33cl bottle. Pours a hazy orange brew, with a tall beige head that disappears in an instant. Smells of Belgian yeast and spices. Tastes bitter-sweet, like a Belgian pale ale or tripel and not a saison, with notes of yeast, overripe fruit, spices.
