Uerige Sticke is only served twice a year: always on the third Tuesday in January and October. This beer is brewed with more malt and hops, and is much richer than Uerige Alt. Sticke with its intense and elegant aroma contains 6% abv.
The unusual name derives from olden days, when the guests would whisper (‘stickum’ being a dialect term for whispering) that the master brewer must have been a little too generous when weighing out the ingredients.
Thanks to the higher alcohol percentage, Uerige Sticke can be stored for much longer than the declared and guaranteed minimum shelf life.

Bottle (6.0% ABV) from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear ruby/brown body with a thin beige head that fades. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of toffee, earth, coffee and dried leaves. Flavour of caramel, copper and a hint of chocolate. Medium body with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is fantastic. It has great depth of flavour and is very moreish.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 02/2021, from Alko, 2020328) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, malts and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, malts, molasses, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A tasty malty brew with the notes of molasses and grass

Dark ruby colour, medium-sized beige head and some lace. Raisiny, sweet, malty aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Caramalt, raisins, some breadyness in the flavour. It has kind of ESB character even. Ok.
