The only exception in our range of beers is the Rédor, a bottom fermentation “pils” beer, filtrated but not pasteurised.
Indeed, although we are specialised in the production of top fermentation beers with refermentation in the bottle, the brewery has chosen to keep the production of a “pils” beer.
The Rédor is a pure malt “pils”, which means we only use the barley malt as starch.
We do not add grains, so the Rédor becomes a tasteful “pils” with a real bitterness.

Draught (Nüetnigenough, Brussels) - Golden with a small white head. Hops, lemon and malt feature in the fresh aroma. Fresh and crisp taste with a nice hop bitterness and notes of lemon, tea and malt. Refreshing and enjoyable.

Bottle at ABC. Full, malty nose, a touch of grassy hop, but more like an Export than a pils. Bready, with a touch of lemon. Clear golden with a low lacy head. More hops come through in the mouth for sure, some slightly strange lemon, hay, plus a very bitter finish. All along, bready malts. Thick and malty. The balance is pretty decent, to be sure, but this still fails to excite me. The flavor is a bit too muddy for a pils. Still, nicely hoppy and drinkable. Better than when I had it on tap. Draught at Toronado, Sept. 2011. Medium yellow-gold with lace. Grainy aroma, with hay, cereals, very malty. Rich cereal malt flavor as well, with grains, light hops, hay, ok bitterness. Rather heavy. Sweet and worty—rather under-attenuated, it seems. A huge disappointment from one of my favorite brewers. 6/2/7/3/13

Draft. Golden-straw colored beer with an off-white head. Mineral and light fruity aroma with light malt. Light fruity and malt flavor with light grain and light mineral notes. Medium bodied. Malt and light mineral lingers with light fruitiness.

A hazed pale golden pils with a thick white head. In aroma, a grainy malt, mineral and grassy. In mouth, a nice grainy malt with light German czech hops, caramel malt, biscuitty, not bad. On tap at Nuetnigehough, July 13, 2011.

On tap at the Toronado. Pours with a clear golden body with a small but lasting white head with great lace. Aromas are bready, quite sweet, malty, grainy, perfume, floral, light lavender. Taste has a fruit note (I cannot tell if it is ester or hop driven), lavender, ripe plums, tea, grainy and bready. Overall a bit sweet. Lively bubble. Doesn’t feel like a classic pils, but is a tasty beer.

Draft @ Les Caves Dupont.

Little cloudy yellow beer, white aery head, dissipates fast. Aroma: sweet malts and sugar, bit hoppy. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: little sweetness followed by hop bitters, spiciness. Aftertaste: crispy bitterness and a bit fruity. Pretty decent pils.

7th March 2010. Pale gold beer. Soft palate. Soft malt which is a little creamy. Not too much hop here! An okay softish lager.
