The only exception in our range of beers is the Rédor, a bottom fermentation “pils” beer, filtrated but not pasteurised.
Indeed, although we are specialised in the production of top fermentation beers with refermentation in the bottle, the brewery has chosen to keep the production of a “pils” beer.
The Rédor is a pure malt “pils”, which means we only use the barley malt as starch.
We do not add grains, so the Rédor becomes a tasteful “pils” with a real bitterness.

Sampled draft @ ZBF 2013. Crystal-clear pale golden with a big, creamy white head. Nose is metallic with bitter esters, bitter herbs, bitter grains and cereal,… Taste is bitter metallic, grains, cereal, quite bitter grass & hay, BE hops, bitter herbal,… Light, touch too much carb. Not my cup of tea. Too irony, too enjoyably bitter etc.

Location: Draft at Ginger Man (NYC), 1/19/13, Palindromic Rating # 2772!
Aroma: The nose is light, clean and enjoyable, with some floral hops and crystal malts notes too
Appearance: It pours a clear orange color with a small head and some light lace-work
Flavor: The taste has a good, crisp hop flavor to it, with a nice, clean malt presence as well
Palate: The body is fairly light, it has a clean and smooth feel, with a soft carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this was a nice example of a Pils. It is crisp and clean with a nice drinkability. There isn't a ton more to say here, it's a fairly simple beer that just hits on what I'm looking for in the style.

Draught @ nuetnigenough, Brussels. Rated on 18.07.2010
Aroma has grainy malt, grassy hops and some bready malt. Flavour has butter, grainy malt, grassy hops and some distant yeasty notes. Slightly sticky palate. Quite refreshing and ”German” for a Belgian pilsener.

Bottle @ Chris’ house in Fürth. Clear golden appearance with a nice white head. Very grainy, extremely floral, grassy aroma. Dry grassy, lightly sweet pils, mild lemon, straw flavor. Pretty good.

Nice golden colour with a head, like a true bohemian pilsener. Strong hop flavour, with notes of grass. Medium bitterness,

Hazy blond color, large head. Mild aroma, with some malt and a very light straw and floral touch. Mild flavor, light malt with straws, moderate bitterness.
Very decent, it would be a quite good Helles, just missing some grassy hops (Saaz...).

Bottle thx to benzai. Mediocre, thin pilsener. Can’t win against the bigger, more famous pilseners.

25cl bottle @ home, shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear golden color, small quickly disappearing white head. Smell malts, grainy, a bit hay-ish. Low body, low to medium carbo. Decent, plain and simple.
