Superficial festival rating at DØE - Ølfestival København 2017. Black body with a small, dense beige head. Nice strong aroma of dark, roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee and hint of liquorice. Flavor is sweet, roasted, dark malt, coffee, chocolate, dry fruit, warming alcohol and fine bitterness. Good, balanced body and strong, long lasting aftertaste. A solid one.

33cl bottle. Pitch black pour, thick and viscous, with a medium-height espresso-coloured head. Smells of roasted malts, dark cherries, smoke and peat, milk coffee and caramel. The taste is well balanced between bitter and sweet, with notes of milk chocolate, coffee, smoke, roasted malts, dark cherries and cocoa. A very promising beer, made me very curious about the barrel aged versions.
