Note based rating. Hope to improve on it in the future:Bottle @ Sthlm Beer 2016. Pours clear golden leaving some legs on the glass with a swirl. Intense sweet pear and honey character. Pale caramel, toffee and minerals. Intense but also sublime, delicate and complex. Simple profile but can’t get past how very tasty it is! --- Beer merged from original tick of Cidrerie du Vulcain Botsi de Glace on 01 Oct 2016 at 12:57 - Score: 9. Bottled at Stockholm Beer &WF, first weekend, 2016.35 cl, lot 10-13.Light hazy golden color. Sweet, spicy, toffee scent. Spicy, fudge, toffee, sweet, candy taste. Candy, fudge aftertaste. Smooth rich mouthfeel, candy finish. Some fruit acids in scent and taste as well. This bottled had been open a few hours, the vendor opened another to see if less toffee existed, it was a bit less to some degree. One or two days after sampled this again from a friends glass, toffee was still in there, though at a very lower level, can have been influenced by what I had previous the first day? Anyhow, a really nice one, though different!

Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Clear deep golden. Generous aroma of honey, pear and winegum. Sweet and mellow with full body. Honeyish like a mead, intense pear flavour. Warming peppery finish.

Synthetic cork, bottle from Le Tonneau Verre, Yverdon; vintage 2011, 2 years old
Measured Final Gravity: 1066
The cork has been dipped in a thick yellow plastic; I recommend to stop this practice. Deep yellow color, lighter than gold; thick pour. The nose is immediately invaded by a wonderful aroma of pears, sweet, some stewed pears, and a hint of hazelnuts; not complicated, but fresh. The mouthfeel is syrupy; some cooked (reduced) pear juice flavor, very sweet; compared to other Ice Perries, it lacks a bit of depth, and the acidity level is rather low.
A good product, but not exceptional; maybe they need to mix some more sour fruit next time; rather expensive (the most expensive of 4 Swiss Ice Ciders/Perries).
