Imperial Stout with Cacao Nibs and Coffee Aged in Bourbon Barrels

Mocha Wednesday is the perfect follow up to a Black Tuesday. We've taken our bourbon barrel aged imperial stout and added cacao nibs from San Francisco based TCHO along with freshly roasted coffee from OC's own Portola Coffee Lab. The result is an invigorating version of our popular stout; layered with notes of rustic dark chocolate and bold, fruity coffee beans.

Coffee, cocoa nibs & plenty of booze in the nose. Sweet, bitter, malty & tiny fruity taste. Round, tiny syrupy & boozy mouth.

Sample at Tomahawk Warrior’s First Birthday party on 06/06/2015: The beer is an inky brownish-black color with a medium foamy light beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and chocolate. Full-bodied and syrupy with flavors of rich chocolate, vanilla coffee, bourbon and sweet malt. The finish is boozy with a bourbon and chocolate aftertaste. Enjoyable beer all around.
