A black IPA with a light creamy tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts with hints of gooseberry. It is hopped with Nelson Sauvin, coffee notes round out the beer to give some great flavours. More of a west of Scotland balance to the IPA than a West Coast USA balance, and we think it works really well.
Sanda gets its name from the Sanda lighthouse, located off the southern tip of the Mull of Kintyre in southwestern Scotland.

Bottle at home from Oddbins London bridge. Aroma is slightly sweet caramel, nuttymalt, pine and some soap. There is also a light touch of roast in the nose as well. Dark brown clear pour with a loose thin light tan head. Flavour has plenty of gruity hops, peach and cherryand pine. Malts are toasty and light burnt note. Palate is a bit loose and watery. mid carbonation. Solid.

BBE OCT 2014 - Pours pitch black with a bubbly white head. Aroma of roasted malts, hints of vegetables, berries and fruits with notes of spices and cocoa. Taste is sweet, roasty and malty with hints of rye, spices, cocoa and berries. Finish is smooth, sweetish and slightly fruity with hints of rye, dry bitterness and roastiness. Quite untypical black IPA.

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Clear very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, dark malts, caramel, dark fruit and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 171013

Bottle, 5.5%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is light roasted malts, earthy, caramel and bread. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, bread, medium sweet, earthy, hop, pine and little bitter.

33cl bottle. Best before Oct 14. Black color, dense, brown head. Sweetness, oat, roasted malt, hops in aroma. Flavor has citrus fruits, roastedness, chocolate, roastedness. Dry, bitter finish. Loads of flavor in this beer. Body is quite light. Enjoyable black ipa.
