Bottle. Ruby brown beer, surprisingly light colored. Aroma of malt and hazelnut, bit bland. Tastes a bit watery, with caremelised malt and maltose sweetness. One-dimensional and not very good.

Helder robijnrood bier met schuim. Smaak is licht bitter-zoet en krachtig, hoppig, caramel, chocolade en noot. Smaak blijft lang hangen, erg goed bier.

Draft at Rootz Winterbeer festival. Pours hazy brown with an off white head. Aroma of banana, yeast, toffee, light veggies. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Actually really enjoying this. Great session beer, with just enough roast and flavor to make it interesting. Very smooth on taste, though palate isn’t too complex. Light sweet and bitter finish. Some caramel here. Dark brown pour with great mocha head and lacing. Bottle.

0,33 l bottle. Crystal clear, ruby with thick, soapy, slowly diminishing, white head. Aroma of cherries, molasses and candy sugar with a bit of alcohol in the end. Sweetish taste which is the same as the aroma. Slightly alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied, creamy, chewy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Really nice doppelbock which serves perfectly as a winter warmer. Much better than their Weihnachtsbier!

It pours a very dark gold/brown with a 1 finger of white foam. Another brew with fine lacing.
I have to say that the smell is awesome. Lots of caramel malt with a wee bit of grain, maybe a hint or two of chocolate.
The very same taste wise. A bit of a stronger grain presence but not out of line for the style at all.
Smooth mouth feel, almost at the top of the food chain as far as Doppelbocks that I have tried. Just as good as Celebrator, imho
