Our Cranberry mead takes the distinct tartness of the earthy, fragrant and penetrating cranberry and matches it with the sweet, yet balanced style for which Schramm’s Mead is known. The pronounced acidity of the fruit demands to be offset by substantial sweetness, and the vast number and throaty nature of the berry’s flavor compounds requires pairing with a complex, full-bodied honey. This mead would make a delicious contribution to any Thanksgiving dinner table – a tart, yet sweet, smooth and easy drinking melomel that will leave you reaching for seconds.

Bottle shared at DACBE New Year's share. Thanks Nick! Pours a clear ruby red color with great body. Lovely tart, cranberry aromas on the nose with a cranberry jam / sauce like aroma. Balanced on the palate with tart and sweet. Super balanced and great cranberry jammy mouthfeel without being acidic in the least. Lingering cranberry skin and seed with an underlying sweetness.

Bottle thanks to bursprak. Pours clear dark red still. Notes of honey, cranberries, nice acidity, sweetness, floral notes.

Amazing! Tart/tangy cranberry/skin/pits/lemon/orange/peach/plum/pear/redapple/grape/floral/honey/brown sugar; lt toffee/herbal. Sweet/full body. Lt acid/tangy/tannic drying. No cloying. Super smooth/mild warmth. Top tier stuff as usual. Wow.

Flaska från trade, batch #2. Klarröd i färgen. Doft och smak av ljunghonung, tranbär, röda vinbär, röda bär, vinbärsgelé. Rejäl fyllighet i kroppen. Stor sötma och knappt någon syrlighet överhuvudtaget. Ganska straightforward, och samtidigt riktigt bra.
