Every year since its inception in 1992, we strive to honor the original Bourbon County Stout recipe. And, 30 years later, we continue Gregory Hall’s legacy and passion for making the best beer possible, starting with the best barrels the bourbon trail has to offer. This year, our Imperial Stout is aged and blended from freshly emptied bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill, Four Roses, Wild Turkey, and Buffalo Trace distilleries. Expect flavors of vanilla, dark chocolate, toffee, molasses, almond, and dried fruit.

0,5l bottle at home. Vintage 2022. black color, small coffee colored head. smells vanilla, bourbon, soy sauce, nutty, wood, oak, whisky. nice to very nice smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes bourbon, molasses, vanilla, some sweetness, light soy sauce, bitter chocolate. finishes light to medium sweet with notes of bourbon, vanilla and molasses notes. very good one.

2023 version, 14.6 ABV. Appearances are opaque brownish black liquid with a very fine ring of bubbles around the edge. Aromas are roast, dark malt, oatmeal, cocoa and a hint of molasses. Flavors are similar to nose, bittersweet, molasses come out a bit more. Some oak. Very smooth. But not nearly as good as it used to be. Can't imagine what good could come from aging it.
