12/VII/24 - 1Pt. 3.2Fl. Oz. can from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ post Katie’s UK beer tasting drinks (@home), BB:XI/2024, lot: 2324 (2024-547)
Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige to brown head, a bit adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: a bit oxidized, earthy, good roast, chocolate, caramel, hint of vanilla. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: good roast up front, a bit sweet, oxidized touch, caramel, more food roast. Aftertaste: sweet malts, very oxidized, more roast, bitter, pretty damn bitter, good dark roast, coffee, hoppy dry finish. Good stuff! I remember this beer being one of the first real American Imperial Stouts I've ever had. It's still pretty darn tasty!
