Brace yourself. Denogginizer is a massive Double IPA that’s sublimely hopped with an over-the-top dosing of dank, sticky, West Coast hops. With just enough malt backbone to keep the big, bold, resinous hop monster in check, be careful, you might lose your head to the Denogginizer.

Super hazy perfect copper coloured body with an orange glow and a thick, two centimetre tall fluffy tan head - very nice looking beer. Aroma of citrus, cascade hops, alcohol, pine, sugars and a very nice tropical fruit flavour. Full-bodied; Deep rich malty flavour at first with a ton of bright citrus and piney hops and a lot of alcohol that shows through immediately. Fruits dominate the finish with a lot of sugars, a decent amount of malt, a ton of hops and a few tons of alcohol - very strong in the finish. Overall, a nice Imperial IPA, perhaps a bit too strong in alcohol and too big of a bottle, but a nicely done beer, that if you like the style - you’ll like this one. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tustin, California on 06-December-2011 for US$6.29 sampled at home in Washington on 13-May-2012.

Bottle shared at my 30:th birthday tasting on May 5 (30 år av Surt). Courtesy of Marsiblursi. Pours tiny hazy reddish golden with an offwhite head that is rather slow to dissipate but doesnät leave much trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and bitter with caramel, pine, freshly cut grass, orange peal, lemon zest and hints of green herbs like dill and lemon balm. Taste is sweet and bitter with caramel, dill, orange peal, brown sugar, unripe mango, pine and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is round, oily bitter and medium to full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and oily bitter with caramel, orange peal and dill.

Hazy amber with a small off-white head. Lots of malt and lots of alcohol in the aroma, along with peach and pine hops. Sweet malty flavour with vanilla notes. Some peach hop character, some alcohol, and a quite bitter finish

Bottle from Whole Foods Sonoma. It pours clear orange-amber, with a thick white head. The nose is soft orange citrus fruit - orange, tangerine, mango and dough. The taste is resin, orange citrus, pine, spice, dough, sherbet, grass and well hidden alcohol, with a long bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and soft mouth-feel. Very well balanced and highly drinkable.

My first beer from this brewery. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured an apricot color with a medium sized foamy beige head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tangy pine, resin and grapefruit. The flavor was bitter and tangy pine, resin and catbox with light grapefruit, lemon and caramel. The finish was long, bitter and piney and turned a bit dry. Moderately full bodiedl. Decent.

Erdiger, sehr langer Hopfennachgeschmack, dunkler werdend. 9/12/12/13/12/13

660ml bottle from Bierkompass
Pours dark orange with a sticky foamy head. Aroma has notes of exotic fruits, caramel malts, toffee and butter. Taste starts out quite sweet but exotic hops and massive bitterness kicks in fast. Bitter, quite warming finish. Sweet, but well balanced and hoppy IIPA.
