Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich hops, flowers, caramel and malt. Full bodied and ling bitter finish. Yummy.

Clear red beer, little white head. Light hoppy nose. Softish palate, semi dry. Aniseed alcohol and pine hops. Traces of grapefruit and pineapple. Bitter finish. Smooth but could do with less obvious alcohol and more hoppy fruits.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head, mostly diminishing, with decent lacing. Aroma is grapefruit (the good kind) and pine with touch a touch of malt in the background. Flavor about the same, lightly sweet but very faint caramel notes; this is about the hops. Finish is medium bitter and somewhat alcoholic. This is a good DIPA, but I would like it better if they dialed the ABV back to 8% or so.

22 oz. bottle, courtesy of and split with Glouglouburp (thanks Dany). Pours a clear copper with a foamy white head. Aroma of loads of caramel malts, quite syrupy, some piney hops, but the sugar is on top. Flavour is both heavily syrupy malty and piney hop-heavy, though a bit too much sweetness for a IIPA. Finishes slightly syrupy sweet, but not overbearingly and quite piney hop-heavy. While it begins quite sweet, the finish is more geared toward the hops, thankfully. A little sweeter than I like my IIPAs, though this is not cloying. Decent.

Tap at the Cask, Pimlico - 10/08/12. Pours a dark amber with a thin off - white head. Piney citrus nose with a background of sweet malt and subdued toffee. Grapefruit, Mango, Chunky citrus fruit flavours allied to that sweet malt background. Fullish in body with a sweet malt/toffee finish. Excellent DIPA!

Aroma has resin, some fruits and sweetish malt with caramel. Somewhat foamy and creamy palate. Flavour is quite hoppy with fruits, resin, gooseberry bush and some metallic savor.

Draught at the Four Points Hotel. Big caramel-toffee nose. Rather indistinct hop aroma and flavors, but nicely bitter finish. Alcohol shows quite a bit. A decent, rather typical and traditional big IPA.

Quite surprisingly the color is amber and cloudy, while most American beers are yeast-clean usually. The aroma is nutty caramel, with toasted almonds; then some citrusy hops; I’m not sure why, but i think I’m at the Brickskeller right now.
Very good caramel flavor, with toasted malt and nuts compensation, very strong bitterness, and a lean resins finish; armies of bitter oranges, and some almonds too.
Maybe because it’s a change from the other beers i’m having, but this one is excellent.

Tap @ Bishops Arms, Copenhagen. Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and rather hoppy - pine and grass. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 040612
