650ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with small, frothy to creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, tan head. Herbal and spicy aroma with a soapy touch, coriander and ginger predominate, cinnamon and mustard seed are identifiable, bath salt character overall. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, extremely spicy and herbal, dominating ginger and coriander note, some clove, cinnamon, nutmeg; slightly soapy touch from the ginger. Peppery finish, sticky palate, oily texture, soft carbonation. Slightly overdone but still working. Would like to taste it without ginger, i.e. the soapy note.

Bottled (thanks fonefan!). Brownish amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is juniper, cinnamon, liquorice and some sweet malts. Flavour is Xmas spices, toffee, sweet malts, juniper, liquorice, cinnamon and some mild smoked notes and nutmeg. Bigtime spiced beer, but still works very well.

Bottle. Dark cloudy brown color, medium off white head. Aroma of an Irish pub in Manhattan during the St. Patrick’s Day Parade (a boyhood recollection of corned beef and pastrami sandwiches). Taste is subtle, complex, peppery, roasty. Very tasty.

Bottled. A red-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of smoke, iodine, and whiskey. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, iodine, peated smoke, and wood, leading to a dry smoked finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of kanin1805. Pours a deep red with a slight haze and a creamy beige head. Spicy nose - cinnamon and cloves sticking out? Rich body, soft carbonation, subtle roast, ashy smoke - peat - with the spices chiming in a little late. A slight pepper bite. Some warming alcohol. A beer that wants to do too many things at once.... 030413
