Bottle at share courtesy of Buckeyeboy. Near black pour with a thin layer of beige head. Roasty, chocolaty aroma, coffee. Taste comes in like a baked Christmas cookie, chocolate, ginger, nutmeg and notes of coffee.

18/5/2023. Flight pour at Zhang Men Brewery Taproom - Xinyi (Breeze). Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is okay, moderately roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, hint of spice and ginger biscuit. Medium sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium to full bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. Very good. Best on the flight.

Almost black colour, moderate sized creamy beige head; aroma of dark chocolate, dried cherry, oak notes, some soy sauce and roasted rye bread; taste of dark chocolate, coffee, heavy roasted nuts, soy sauce and candied dried cherry notes soaked into cognac; good one

Draught at the ZhangMen taproom in Kaohsiung, on October 5, 2017. As part of a flight.Black color, brown head. Sweet, alcohol, malty, oak, grainy taste. Oak, wood, malty, dry, paper aftertaste. Full mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Massive oak and wood scent, also sweet and some peat/smoke.7/4/7/4/14=3.6
