Malty aroma with plums. Low on carbon. Malty flavor with oak, plum, cherry and licorice. Fairly complex lager, well balanced and fruity.

From the bottle. Deep amber with a frothy white head that lasts for the duration. Aroma is full of rich caramel with earthy, bready undertones. Simple but pleasant. Taste is sweet, full of caramel, nuts, white bread, and raisins. Bittersweet at the end. Body is medium with a restrained but well balanced carbonation. Good stuff!

This beer is quite astringent, not clean at all. This is a bottle from d&S Dresden. Perhaps another try will make it better, because this is a harsh beer. Feb 2019 Tried again online bottle from hier gibt bier, and it’s the same harshness

Bottle, thanks Ogi! Hazy amber, off white head. Nice light herbal-grainy aroma, dry. Sweetish dry lager, bit grainy, vaguely husky, only a touch bitterish and trace herbal-flowery. Okay overall. Was better at first glance.

500ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Husky, minimally bready, malty, slightly fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of dried fruit, jam, red berries, a "Müsli" touch, a very light touch of leaven. Taste is mellow, husky, minimally bready malty with slight residual sweetness, fruity hoppy overtones with hints of dried fruit, red berries, even cherry, a spicy touch of caraway. Superbly balanced - a classic.

$4.25 pint can, Wine Warehouse. Medium gold with a soft off-white head. Aroma is brown and green grass, leaves, light caramel. Flavor is nearly identical, with a bit more caramel and a hint of back-end glue.
