18/6/2018. Bottle from Evin, Helle. Pours hazy amber colour with a foamy off-white head. Aroma of fruit, malt, caramel, hops, light herbs and veg, yeast and earthy notes. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily grainy texture, average carbonation. Some bitterness to finish with a touch of chocolate. Nice example of a Kellerbier.

Draft at Max's. Years I've wanted to try this without having to drink a dusty bottle off the selves, which I have done. Clear copper amber color. Not much lacing or head. Aroma is lager and hop, yup they did it. Light green tea leaves hop accenting a very earthy and brown/ eye bread maltiness. Tastes a bit like having some tea with a brown muffin but clean and layered with some mineral finish. End of flavor disperses with a sprinkled feeling on palate. Little sweet black bread comes through. Lovely lift hop and strongly malted lager.

500 ml bottle from Rewe Bamberg, bb 14.07.2018.
Amber, moderate hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, light yellow head.
Aroma of bread, grains, fresh herbs, grass, flowers, spicy hops, some fruits, some honey.
Tastes quite similar, while less juicy than the nose.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation.
Finishes pretty hoppy, piney, spicy, a bit dry, subtly sweet, floral, a bit grassy, a bit bready.
Very nice. The nose is really great, smooth, juicy, grainy, with some hop spiciness. Taste is also good, while not as lovely as the nose. I really like the distinct, spicy hop notes throughout though. Very quaffable, characterful and balanced stuff

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Pours unclear amber. Aroma is grassy hops over yeast residues and little toasted malts, even smoke. Body is rather light, softly sweet and bitter with little caramel flavours. Really feels more like an amber lager than a ZKL, but not the worst one.

Bottle, named St. GeorgenBräu Buttenheimer Kellerbier, expiry date 30.08.18. Dark golden colour, rocky head that does not stay long. Aroma is lots of hemp. Light bitterness. Unusual for a kellerbier. Good.
